Mythic Plus is a game mode that pushes your dungeon running skills to the limit. You enter a dungeon with a timer. You must finish the dungeon before the time runs out to get better gear and higher ratings. This guide explains how to perform well and earn your best rewards.
Key Rules for Success
To succeed in high-level dungeons, you must follow these core rules:
- Interrupt Spells: Every enemy has a special attack that can hurt your team or heal the enemy. Assign team members to interrupt these spells. Use your silence or stun abilities to stop them.
- Use Your Cooldowns: Do not wait for a boss to use your big damage spells. Use them often throughout the dungeon to kill groups of enemies faster. If you save them too long, you waste time.
- Study the Affixes: Every week, Blizzard adds special effects to the dungeons called affixes. Some make enemies stronger, and others change how you interact with the environment. Read the weekly update on my site to see which ones are active.
- Learn the Paths: A good tank knows the best route through the dungeon. You want to kill enough enemies to reach 100 percent, but you do not want to fight unnecessary groups.
The Importance of Gear and Stats
You need the right stats to survive at higher levels.

How to Get Better
I play Mythic Plus every day to test my own performance. I suggest you do the following:
- Record Your Gameplay: Use software to record your runs. If your team fails, watch the video to see why. Did you stand in fire? Did you miss an interrupt?
- Practice on Lower Levels: If you are new to Mythic Plus, start on lower levels. Learn the mechanics of the dungeon without the pressure of a hard timer.
- Talk to Your Team: Use a group chat or voice tool. Tell your team when you are going to use a crowd control effect. This prevents two people from using a stun on the same target at the same time.
- Use Consumables: Always carry potions and food. A health potion can save your life. A damage potion can help your team finish the dungeon before the timer runs out.
Dealing with Difficult Bosses
Every boss has a pattern. Some bosses summon minions. Some bosses create zones on the ground that you must avoid. Never stand in the bad zones. If you see a swirling pool of liquid or fire, move out immediately. Most boss deaths happen because a player stays in one spot for too long. Always keep moving and look for a safe path.
